Market Analyst

KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Market Analyst position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, and conduct market intelligence activities that involve collecting information about the company’s market – trends, competitors, and customer monitoring; and analyzing that information for the purpose of accurate and confident decision-making in determining strategy such as market opportunity, market penetration strategy, and market development.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and direct market intelligence activities of the Company.

• Initiate market intelligence for collecting information about customers and competitors, and analyze findings to uncover potential new customers and/or emerging markets.

• Conduct market intelligence on a given market, and make recommendations to capitalize on opportunities and help direct strategy to assist the company in reaching its business objectives.

• Ensure the systematic collection, review and analysis of market information to identify competitor tactics, market trends, new opportunities and challenges.

• Study market conditions, regulations, competitors, products, business publications and customers to direct company decision making processes.

• Understand the products and services offered be key competitors; communicate products and services differentiation to sales, and provide input to top management.

• Conduct various client interviews or surveys to identify trends and make recommendations to top management.

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and financial modeling and analysis.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualification                    :  B.A. Degree in Marketing or related field

Work Experience            :  2 years in relevant role
