Junior Accountant - Trading Company

• Comply with all financial regulations and standards.
• Monitor and analyze cost variances, tracking expenses related to import and export activities.
• Ensure accurate data entry into the Peachtree system for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Stay informed about local, state, and federal tax regulations affecting the import and export business.
• Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
• Assist in generating financial reports and statements.
• Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Assist senior accountants with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 year relevant experience in Trading Company or similar industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
