Job Description

Company overview

Awach SACCO Is a saving and credit cooperative established on 13/07/1999 E.C. in Arada Sub-city by Mr. Zerihun Sheleme, founder and general manager with 41 initial members. having in mind a long-range objective of encouraging saving mobilization culture and loan provision in the community with a strong commitment and belongingness, coupled with shared visions of the founders; Awach became a truly serving financial institution within a few years after the establishment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct callers to the appropriate person or department.
  • Answer their question for greet visitors, provide them with necessary information, and ensure their needs are met, handle visitor registration and maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, faxes, and other communications.
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments and meetings, arrange conference calls, and coordinate travel arrangements, prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Responsible for organizing and archiving documents (Data Entry and Record-Keeping).
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information, exercise discretion when dealing with such information, and adhere to privacy guidelines.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Secretarial Science or related field of study.

General

  • One year of demonstrated work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Fluent English and Amharic languages speaking, writing, and listening,
  • Strong knowledge of secretary ethics, standards, and principles.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail, with a strong command of grammar and punctuation.
  • Sound understanding of financial markets, cooperatives, and related industry topics.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
