Rorank Business S.C. are looking to hire a highly ambitious ICT Manager to fulfil the following role:

  • To assist with installation of ERP and other business applications on client machines.
  • Troubleshoot server issues (SQL, OS, Application, Remote access and Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • Troubleshoot connectivity between Chacha, Addis and Kessem.
  • To take part in in depth training to assist users in Rorank with operability of software.
  • Ideally the ICT Manager will gain extensive knowledge of SAGE 300 from both a technical and operational viewpoint.
  1. Assist in maintaining GL, Vendor, Customer and Item accounts
  2. Assist in maintaining Production BOM (Bill of Materials)
  3. Month-end/Year-end cut-off procedures
  4. Master file maintenance (Incl. sales pricing) & user permissions
  5. Budget uploads, report writing (Crystal reports), etc.

To assist the staff with:

Security

  • Manage data access policy, password policy, network monitoring, data encryption, and remote access policy
  • Liaise closely with external consultant hired by shareholder on security and other IT issues as required

Upkeep of network infrastructure:

  • Management of LAN cabling and management of WIFI access points
  • Management and configuration of Cisco switches/routers, configuration, firmware updates
  • Connectivity troubleshooting of EthioTel fibreoptic internet and VPN services

Server administration, including but not limited to:

  • Windows Active Directory User management 
  • Shared files and folders administration
  • Anti-Virus – deployed at server level across network
  • Virtual Hyper-V machine configuration and maintenance
  • Regular Windows OS updates 
  • Monitor scheduled backups
  • Monthly server health check; hardware and software
  • Maintaining and executing Disaster recovery procedure
  • Managing Server peripherals (UPS etc) management

Email – Microsoft Office 365 skills. 

  • Management of users and License management
  • Regular checks on payments/invoices to ensure continuity of service
  • Manage Mailbox permissions
  • Exchange settings/mail logging/troubleshooting

Desktop Support

  • Provide remote user application support for remote sites 
  • Perform Software, hardware troubleshooting and configuration
  • Perform Network troubleshooting and configuration
  • Liaising with third party suppliers/consultants for advanced IT matters out of scope.

Website Management

  • Managing CMS based official company website content update in conjunction with marketing
  • Manage the Domain name registration and related tasks

HR System

  • Take a role as an Administrator of the system 
  • Manages all user rights and system set-up on company computers and employee smart phones
  • Monitors & reports on data management to ensure HR compliance
  • Troubleshoot HR System access and connectivity issues
  • Liaison with External Consultant & HR when necessary
  • Prepare and update IT policy and procedures when necessary.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual report to be submitted to FD. Duties include Addis, Chacha and Kessem sites.

 Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare annual IT capital budget in collaboration with FD.
  • Advising the board/directors on new technology/solutions to assist the company

CCTV Camera Network

  • Monitor and troubleshoot company’s CCTV camera network and communicate with the external vendors for solution when an require their support

Education:     Min: BSc in Computer science, IT or related field

Training:        Min: Training on ERP or business application 

Ideal: Acquittance to HR Information Systems

Experience:    Min: College graduate preferably with additional trainings and experience on ERP or business applications

Ideal: Minimum of 3 years as in a similar position with experience in IT System Support

Travel Requirements: 

  • Willing to travel to CHACHA Debre Birhan and KESSEM Afar Region  company sites as required
  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook) 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good background in computer hardware/software troubleshooting  
  • Attention to detail, Self Motivated, Ability to work independently.
