Job Overview

Ramada by Wyndham Addis is seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations, bringing creativity, organization, and leadership to our dynamic kitchen environment. This role is perfect for a passionate culinary professional looking to advance their career in a high-end hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Kitchen Operations: Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Food Preparation: Supervise and participate in the preparation and presentation of food to maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed.
  • Menu Development: Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food production to ensure compliance with recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel kitchen, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent professional training: with competency certification (COC) level 4 or above

Skills:

  • Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Leadership and team-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Languages: 

  • Proficiency in English is required.
