Finance Manager

ANGLA Business PLC is engaged in diversified business such as fast foods, food processing, and import and export. Currently it has six Branches and six food trucks in Addis Ababa. It has also a plan to expand the business outside Addis Ababa. Concerning the food processing, it is in the process to import the required processing plants. Further, it is engaged in import and export business in which the former is focusing on the import of the required inputs for the fast food as well as food processing industries.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager. 

Position Overview

As a key member of our organization, the Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations to ensure the company’s financial health and success. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, analyze financial data, and develop plans to maximize profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate financial reports and interpret financial information for senior management

• Advise on investment activities and recommend strategies for optimal returns

• Maintain the financial health of the company by monitoring performance and identifying
  areas for improvement

• Analyze costs, pricing, sales results, and overall company performance against business plans

• Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances

• Conduct reviews for cost-reduction opportunities and implement necessary changes

• Oversee the finance department’s operations, set goals, and ensure objectives are met

• Manage the preparation of the company’s budget

• Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Liaise with other departments to align on company plans and future paths

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related fields with Five (5) years of demonstrated experience out of which three (3) years at a Managerial level position OR 
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, Banking and Finance or related fields with seven (7) years of demonstrated experience out of which five (5) years at Managerial level position.
• Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role
• Extensive understanding of financial trends and market patterns
• Proficiency in finance software and tools
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to lead and guide employees in financial processes
• Solid knowledge of financial statistics and accounting principles
• Familiarity with statutory legislation and regulations in finance
• Excellent working knowledge of IFRS and local regulations and requirements. Certified in adoption and implementation of IFRS is an asset
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and detail orientation, even under time pressure.
• Proven interpersonal, representation, networking, negotiation and leadership skills.
