Core Objectives

General duties and responsibilities

Under the general administrative, technical and professional directions of the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager plans, organizes, directs, co-ordinates and controls the overall administrative, financial and operational activities of the field office; initiates and formulates policies, strategies and objectives pertaining to same and submits to the General Manager for approval; implements approved decisions. Encourages research for better management system, studies new projects in diversification & expansion as well as the matrix of marketing mix.

To deputies for the general manager in the overall development, performance and maintenance of the organization’s activities to obtain the maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organization.

Essential Abilities/ Competencies of this job role

You need

• qualifications sufficient to perform the job role – 
• Languages required  English is mandatory And Tigrigna, Amharic, Arabic and French are plus
• Experience in this type of job role –    minimum 10 years managerial Experience import export Business Trading Area.
• thorough understanding of business process and  management, requirements and dynamics – Import and export Sales and Marketing Area applicable to be able to use software – ERP,ANY VEWIER software if required
• ability in process management and customer/supplier relationship management
• leadership with ability to assist in driving an organization  and team
• proven ability to coach and develop others
• high degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings
• excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• ability to work under pressure
• full driving licence

You need to have and maintain (with regular training and updates as necessary) the knowledge, technical skills and qualifications that are necessary to perform your job role to comply with the requirements of the organization and any applicable rules, regulations, (particularly of any professional body) and with any law which applies to your job role.

Special Working Conditions

You may be expected to work in accordance with the organization’s overtime policies

 The nature of your role will require you to travel within the area that your team covers. However, from time to time you may be expected to travel outside that area as the job role requires.
