It is a trade name of Yemsrach Abera & Family General Trading, a Private Limited Company, whose vision is to provide quality packed foods, traditional Ethiopian spices, catering and restaurant services to its clients here at home and abroad.

Job Brief:

We are seeking trustworthy candidate who manage companys procurement activities efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. The procurement manager is expected to manage diverse procurement/purchase issues, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide complete reports to the supervising Director. S/he should have a firm managerial grasp of procurement practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills. To ensure success, the procurement manager should be prompt in action, honest, detail-oriented, professional, and analytical.

Responsibilities:

• Overall, the Procurement Manager, or Purchasing Manager, is responsible for managing and overseeing company-supplier relations. His/her duties include evaluating companys purchase items and target suppliers to determine what items to order per time. Procurement Manager handles the procurement of goods and services for the company. S/he manages each part of the supply chain to ensure consistent delivery of goods and services while identifying possible obstacles that may affect productivity. His/her duties and responsibilities typically include:
• Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
• Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of raw materials purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
• Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
• Ensuring partners continue to meet company needs
• Collect and analyze data to ensure the company is making the best decisions
• Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
• Balance department budgets with real needs
• Review and negotiate contracts with venders and suppliers
• Delegate tasks to the procurement team
• Forecast needs and supplies
• Meet with directors and department heads to understand the needs across the company
• Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
• Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
• Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred; minimum 5-10 years of experience in procurement at manufacturing industries.
