Regional Project Coordinator

Ethio-Professionals’ Security Solutions (EPSS), is a non-governmental, not for profit organization with the headquarters in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) established in 2021. EPSS is a humanitarian and development organization established with the aim of changing customers’ perceptions towards safety, security, and wellbeing by outdoing ourselves every day. It provides landmine clearance, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), minefield survey, travel risk management services and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE) and importantly safety and security services, Rehabilitation and Conflict Resolution to help the recovery and development of affected communities.

EPSS in collaboration with Humanity and Inclusion (HI) and Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is currently at the verge of starting the project entitled: Comprehensive Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Response in conflict-affected areas of Tigray Regional State, Ethiopia with the operational scope in Eastern and North Western zones.

EPSS is looking for qualified and competent applicants for the following positions:

Regional Project Coordinator Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the program director/Project Manager, the regional Coordinator shall be stationed at Adigrat he/she will be responsible for overall coordination of the project activities implementation, team mobilization, documentation of the project implementation records and report writing. He/she will liaise the organization for the partnership in the regional and zonal levels.

Main tasks of the Regional project Coordinator:

• Coordinate the plan for the EORE training and make sure the activities are ready to be undertaken,
• Supervise the EORE training in the target areas in consultation with the EORE trainers.
• Provide technical support and direction for the EORE team leaders, Non-Technical Survey/NTS professionals and trainers,
• Follow up the deliverables of the EORE sessions and of the team under his/her supervision,
• Ensure the resources of the project are properly used and records are kept,
• Prepare timely reports and share with project manager,
• Capture success stories of the project activities implementation and share along with the reports,
• Liaise with regional, zonal and woreda stakeholders and project implementing partners for effective implementation of the project activities,

Minimum qualifications and skills:

• BA/MA in social sciences, Political Sciences, or related field
• 4/2 years’ experience BA/MA in project management, community mobilization and training
• Prior experience in NTS and EORE,
• Strong facilitation skills,
• Strong determination to promote gender equality,
• Good knowledge and experience on local and regional government operational systems and procedures,
• Tigirigna and Amharic language knowledge is mandatory,
• Very Good speaking, reading, writing, and communicating in English language,
