Product Owner - Payment Infrastructure and Embedded Finance

Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fintech, with a deep understanding of payment systems, wallets, cards, payment gateways, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), device financing, and inventory data management. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our payment infrastructure and embedded finance products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business growth and enhance customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Define the product vision and strategy for Payment Infrastructure and Embedded Finance, aligned with the company's objectives and market trends. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation. Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.
2. Technology Innovation and Quality Assurance: Drive technology innovation within Payment Infrastructure and Embedded Finance products, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends. Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of product reliability, usability, and security. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement rigorous testing protocols and conduct regular code reviews to mitigate risks and ensure product integrity.
3. Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for Payment Infrastructure and Embedded Finance projects, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness. Track expenses and monitor financial performance against budgetary targets, adjusting as needed to ensure fiscal responsibility and project sustainability.
4. Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, business development, and third-party partners. Communicate product plans, progress updates, and key milestones effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and engagement throughout the product development lifecycle.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with Payment Infrastructure and Embedded Finance products, proactively developing mitigation strategies to address them. Monitor regulatory compliance requirements, security standards, and industry regulations, implementing measures to mitigate legal and operational risks.
6. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management or product ownership roles within the fintech industry.

Proven trackrecord of successfully launching and managing payment infrastructure and embedded finance products, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.

Deep understanding of payment systems, wallets, cards, payment gateways, BNPL, device financing, and inventory data management.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience working in agile development methodologies, such as Scrum.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, security standards, and best practices in the fintech and payments industry.
