Job Profile for the Position of Production Engineer

ONIVERSE (Calzedonia) Group, is an Italian company founded in Italy Verona, producing, and selling garment products, across the world. The group set up in 2015 a production plant in Tigray, Mekelle, Ashegoda Area, under the name of “ITACA TEXTILE PLC” and requires competent employees for the following vacant position.

Job Summary

The candidate is responsible for overseeing the entire Production process, from initial design to final product delivery. The primary objective is to optimize production operations while meeting quality standards, maintaining cost-effectiveness, and adhering to strict timelines.

Job description:

• Overseeing all sewing operations of the garment production
• Estimates materials and supplies needed for completion of work and determine manpower requirements
• Ensures that all operational IT systems used to monitor production are working perfectly
• Works on the methods to meet work schedules and ensures that quality of work meets standards
• Oversees the maintenance activities and handling of machines 
• Oversees all production steps and ensures best practices are applied
• Ensures operator by operator efficiency increases and overall productivity improvement.
• Performs other duties as per required by his/her supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and above in textile, garment, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• Basic knowledge of ERP System
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities
• Time Management and Organizational Skills
• Adaptability and Flexibility
• Strong knowledge of Office applications
• Very good level of spoken and written English

Desired Skills:

• Experience in garment manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Power BI
• Good level of spoken and written Italian Language
• Experience in Garment Manufacturing
• Experience in manufacturing international environment
