Job Purpose
The Sales officer is responsible for coordinating and managing sales efforts within the Government, Banking, and Education sectors to generate business for the company, under the direction of the Business Development manager. This role involves working closely with the Solution team lead, Alliances & Vendor Management team lead and other members of the sales and marketing team to develop and manage a sustainable pipeline of work aligned with the company's business strategy and objectives.
General Duties
The Sales officer will collaborate with several team members to generate and manage a sustainable pipeline of work aligned with the company's business strategy. This includes client engagement, key account management, stakeholder engagement, and partnering with potential organizations to convert opportunities into tenders and contracts. The Sales Team Lead will expand on existing networks and develop new ones to grow the company's business in line with sector-specific targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Sales team, including recruiting, objective setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
Track sales goals and report results/targets.
Develop and lead sector business plans, evaluating them typically every three months.
Enhance sales staff development capabilities and work with them to achieve their targets.
Oversee and direct the performance of the sales team.
Identify emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
Organize and utilize the Sales team to develop and manage an up-to-date understanding of the digital transformation landscape of the country.
Undertake key research to understand e-business and project drivers of sectors, customers, and potential opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
Maintain necessary data and records for future reference.
Lead client relationships and introduce clients to relevant teams.
Anticipate potential business opportunities through engagement with sectors and customers.
Salary: Negotiable
Skills and Qualifications
Proven working experience in sales and business development, or a relevant role, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to analyze data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Educational Background
Bachelorโs degree in business administration, Marketing, economics or a related field is required.
Additional certifications of project management, data analytics are a plus.
