Deputy Manager, ICT

• Manage all IT system, communication and network infrastructure, and implement effective IT solutions, to ensure smooth operation of DCE plants.

• Under the guidance of plant CFO, Information system Head has the duty & responsibility to plan, organize, direct, co-ordinate and control the activities of Management Information System; direct the development, design, flow and implementation of computer based information for prompt management decisions and actions; 

• develop strategies related to information systems and advises on management in setting appropriate IT strategy of the enterprise, undertake various types of studies concerning information process of the organization and develop more economical, efficient and effective management information system.

• Coordinate the development of IT solutions for users at the plant and ensure compliance with established Group policies, procedures and specifications.
• Participate in the assessment of IT risks and implement management strategies.
• Assist in the development of system and network security standards, policies and procedures and assist in conducting awareness programs across the organization.
• Implement approved network control frameworks to ensure the integrity of DCE’s IT systems and network.
• Supervise the internal product acceptance testing/ integration testing process and provision of adequate technical support for user acceptance testing in DCE plants.
• Oversee the setup and execution of technical test plans for device modification, new deployment and upgrades in DCE plants.
• Ensure successful “go-live” of all new systems/ solutions in DCE plants.
• Participate in/ provide input to vendor and software selection process.
• Review and monitor trend analysis of issues/queries logged and escalate identified root problems to relevant external IT vendors where necessary.
• Ensure the prompt resolution of escalated faults and requests from DCE users/ IT service management helpdesk.
• Oversee the installation, upgrade and configuration of network printers, directory structures, user access, and security software and file services.
• Implement approved improvement initiatives to ensure optimal performance of IT systems at DCE plants.
• Stay abreast of innovations, trends and best practices and recommend improvement opportunities to the Plant Financial Controller/ Group Head, IT.
• Ensure proper Implementation of company HSE policies and procedures at workplace.
• Adheres to and be guided by the clA, internal regulations, and company policies.

• BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology and related field  + 8 Years’ experience
• Good knowledge of relevant systems/ solutions development lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of relevant applications such as 
• Operating systems: SAP, DDS, Unix-Sun, MS Windows; Application development tool: SQL, etc.
• Web development tools; Data modelling tools; Relational Database Management Systems – Oracle 8 or higher versions, MS SQL Server; Testing tools.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Good networking and teaming skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities.
