Back Ground
JSI is a US-based public health non-profit organization that provides high-quality technical and managerial assistance programs throughout the world. It is dedicated to improving people’s lives around the world through greater health, education, and socioeconomic equity for individuals and communities. For over 45 years, JSI has been at the forefront of global public health. With its global team of over 3,500 dedicated staff, JSI supports governments, health professionals, civil society, and community leaders in more than 40 countries. JSI provides technical expertise for complex, locally led public health initiatives ranging from pandemic preparedness, health information systems, and supply chains to workforce development and digital education.
The Ethiopia Data Use Partnership (DUP) Work Stream 1, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), is a collaborative project between the JSI Research and Training Institute (JSI) and the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MOH) aimed at advancing the country’s healthcare through the Information Revolution (IR) agenda. This vision emphasizes fostering an information culture, digitizing and expanding priority Health Information System (HIS), and enhancing HIS governance.
Objectives
The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to design an effective training approach and capacitate leaders on data and data-informed decisions as well as to in place measurement tools and systems for HIS governance and data-accountability.
The specific objectives include:
Developing the health system leader's capacity (addressing the gap) helps to achieve measurable improvements in HIS performance (data quality and data driven decision making/data use) which ultimately, in turn, leads to improvements in health outcomes.
The Offeror’s proposal must be accompanied by a cover letter typed on official organizational letterhead and signed by an individual who has signatory authority for the offeror. The offeror must submit a complete proposal package on or before the due date and time to Tsegaye Kebede on tsegaye_kebede@et.jsi.com. Proposals must be submitted by email only with the subject line “RFP No: DUP2-03-2024”

Therefore, JSI/DUP projects cordially invite local organizations possessing expertise in the specified areas and have valid trade license to operate in Ethiopia can find the RFP on the project website https://ethiopiadup.jsi.com/ or can collect from the project office located at Sengatera Traders Union Share Company building, Lideta Sub City, Woreda 09, House Number 235, 5th floor, Sengatera area, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and submit your full set of proposal prepared as per the instruction given on or before the due date and time set to Tsegaye Kebede on tsegaye_kebede@et.jsi.com.
