Project Background

TechnoserveInc is looking for eligible IT companies that possess a deep understanding of the manufacturing sector's unique production system considering local conditions. Under the Program of LIWAY -Technoserve, Production Management inter aims to create a production management portal as part of its strategic goals. This portal will serve as a centralized platform, offering a suite of services and tools tailored to enhance production efficiency. These services include subscription-based access to cutting-edge production management tools to streamline operations and promote continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Additionally, the portal will provide online training modules and certification programs to support professional growth and upskilling of the industry workforce. These resources are designed to ensure that industry professionals are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving market.

The eligible IT firm should have a proven track record in delivering similar projects and demonstrate expertise in creating robust, scalable, and secure digital solutions. Developing such a portal requires a collaborative approach that combines industry insights with technological innovation to deliver a product that meets the specific needs of the manufacturing industry and aligns with the strategic objectives of Production Management Intervention

Scope of Work

Objectives

The main goal of this project is to create and implement a robust and user-friendly comprehensive production management portal (CPM Portal) with the following key features:

· Subscription services customized for both corporate and individual users.

· Multiple subscription tiers to cater to different needs.

· Web-based training modules to improve skills and knowledge.

· Certification programs to authenticate proficiency.

· A wide range of comprehensive production management tools designed to optimize operations and boost productivity.

· The system includes integrated payment functionality, group chat, and email capabilities, as well as texting and calling functions.

3. Scope of Work

The IT company will be responsible for the following tasks:

3.1 System Analysis and Design

? Perform comprehensive requirement analysis and feasibility assessment.

? Develop system architecture, database schema, and user interface design.

? Create detailed technical specifications and system design documentation.

? Develop Business Requirement Specification (BRS) Document before system development

3.2 Development

Please remember the following technical requirements:

? Develop a web-based portal with a responsive design for optimal user experience.

? Implement a subscription management system to handle user subscriptions and billing.

? Develop online training modules and integrate a learning management system (LMS) for efficient management of the training content.

? Implement certification functionality to provide users with certifications upon completion of training modules.

? Integrate production management tools to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.

? Create data import and export capabilities for various file formats such as Pdf, MS Excel, and MS Word for seamless data transfer.

? Integrate the system with other existing systems, e.g., ERP for smooth data flow and process integration.

3.3 User Management

?  Develop user registration and authentication modules.

?  Implement multi-user roles and permissions.

? Implementation of single sign-on (SSO) with external identity providers like Google, Facebook, or Microsoft.

? Development of user profile management functionality to facilitate personal information and preference updates.

? Incorporation of two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security measures.

? Establishment of user activity logging and audit trail systems to monitor user actions within the portal.

? Integration with a user management API to facilitate seamless interaction with other systems or applications.

? Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to uphold user data privacy and security standards.

3.4 Payment Gateway Integration

? Integrate a secure payment gateway that complies with security standards and regulations for subscription packages.

? Design and develop user-friendly interfaces to ensure seamless payment processing.

? Implement multi-currency support to accommodate international users.

? Enable recurring billing functionality for subscription renewals.

? Conduct comprehensive testing to validate user experience and security measures.

? Provide thorough documentation for system maintenance and future updates.

3.5 Content Management

? Develop an advanced content management system tailored for the specific needs of training materials.

? The system should provide seamless upload, update, and content management capabilities for administrators.

? It must facilitate collaborative creation, editing, organization, and storage of digital content by users.

? Additionally, the system should ensure the accuracy, currency, and easy accessibility of content to all stakeholders.

? It should also effectively manage the entire lifecycle of the organization's content, encompassing digital files, social media, and web content, as well as traditional documents such as invoices and contracts, from creation to archival.

3.6 Reporting and Analytics

? Implement reporting and analytics for subscription data, user engagement, and performance metrics.

? Real-time data control and processing capabilities

? Real-time AI supports and feedback mechanisms

3.7 Testing, Deployment and Maintenance

? Conduct unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

? Ensure the system is bug-free and performs efficiently.

? Deploy the portal in a secure and scalable hosting environment.

? Provide post-deployment support and maintenance for a specified period.

? Ensure regular updates and upgrades.

Timeline

Selection Criteria

The following criteria will be used by TechnoServe to evaluate and compare vendor responses.

Response Instructions

To ensure consideration, all responses must be submitted no later than 08/30/2024, written in English with prices stated in ETB.

All responses must:

• Contain a detailed cost with applicable taxes and other charges clearly identified.
• Provide requested payment terms and conditions.
• Include a contact name, email address, and telephone number.
• For quotes from a firm, provide a brief outline of the company and services offered, including the company's full legal name and address, the jurisdiction of incorporation, the full legal name and country of citizenship of the company's owners/principal officers, and the year the business was established.
• If a consortium of firms or a team of consultants submits a quote jointly, the above information should be provided for each member of the team.
• Only include attached files that are 10 MB or smaller in size. Do not include compressed (ZIP, RAR), executable, or other unusual file formats as these will be rejected.
