Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, including receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
- Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries: Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
- Stock Organization: Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring it is clean and orderly.
- Documentation: Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
- Audits and Reporting: Conduct regular audits to ensure that the store is functionally efficient and report on inventory levels.
- Handling Freight: Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs.
- Customer Service: Assist customers and staff with locating items and provide information about stock availability
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent in accounting , additional qualifications in logistics or inventory management are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (Excel).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
