Job Description

Golden Tulip Addis Ababa Hotel is a Five Star upscale Hotel, part of international Hotel Chain, located in an expansive ground in a strategic location from International Airport, is looking for qualified candidates for the Sales and Marketing Manager vacant position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:-

• Conduct Marketing Research in order to identify the factors that shape the hotel’s appeal to customers.
• Monitor customer reviews on the hotel's website or on hotel booking sites to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the hotel. 
• Speak to guests in person or in follow up calls. 
• Review travel industry research to identify trends that could affect your hotel, such as increasing demand for low-cost family accommodations, or fuel prices, or better facilities for business travelers, 
• Maximize Customer Awareness

• Post hotel details on destination websites and online booking sites to increase reach to the target audience. 

• Collaborating with other meeting venues to offer their delegates accommodations or meeting space can give the access to other potential customers.

• Develop promotions in an essential part of hotel marketing. 
• Increase occupancy during times of the year when bookings are low. 
• Running special events such as gourmet weekends, or offering incentives,
• Consider offering meeting rooms to local businesses for short-term use.

• Build a stable revenue base and ensure high levels of repeat business, 

• Develop strong customer relationships. 

• Arrange a customer loyalty program that rewards customers who book regularly to benefit the hotel and the customers. 

• Keep it simple so that customers know how to accumulate points and use them for rewards.

• Target a customer loyalty program at individual guests or at corporate customers who require regular meeting facilities or accommodation for large numbers of traveling staff or visiting customers.

• Arrange marketing plan at the hotel or unit level involving such elements as a mission statement, objectives and strategies, 

• propos and implement marketing strategies to promote revenue growth and generation in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

• Propose and implement hotel-specific marketing strategies to include, but not limited to maintaining and marketing websites, employing corporate brand marketing and leveraging social media

• Monitor marketing trends, tools and applications specific to the hotel industry and target market(s)

• Measure and report impact of marketing strategies

• Work with Revenue Management to ensure maximum potential of key marketing strategies including, but not limited to, third party websites

• Generate and deliver monthly marketing analyses and updates to Sales and Revenue Management

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement

Qualification:  

• Sales and Marketing BA and other related filed from Accredited College and university. 

• Minimum 4 years of sales and marketing manager experience preferred
