Positive Action for Development (PAD) is an indigenous, non-governmental, humanitarian, and development organization legally registered at the federal level by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Charities and Societies Agency on June 6, 2011, with a registration number of 2330.
PAD would like to hire two qualified Food security and Livelihoods officer for its project titled “Multisectoral and integrated response to drought and conflict in Shabelle area, Somali Region, Ethiopia”. The officers will primarily be responsible for implementing activities related to animal production, animal health service provision, agronomic practices other food security and livelihood-related activities.
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure the mainstreaming of gender, disability, and other cross-cutting issues in all project-related activities.
Provide inputs that contribute to the improvement of project effectiveness and the development of new project proposals for organizational sustainability.
Ensure the safety of all organizational assets.
Perform other duties as assigned by the project coordinator and supervisors. In the event of a humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly
In collaboration with other project staff and stakeholders, participate in the preparation of project-related criteria, guidelines, and manuals.
Qualifications
BSc degree in Animal Science, Animal Health, Veterinary Medicine, Plant Science, Rural Development Agricultural Economics or other related fields.
Experience

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Fluency in local language (Somali), both written and verbal.
