We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Jr. Structural Resident Engineer to join our team on a contract basis.

Job description: structural resident supervision tasks including: 

• Day-to-day follow up of structural construction
• Site quality control and witnessing of site and off-site tests as appropriate.
• Facilitating, together with site and office (backstopping) team the proper construction on site
• Control of quantities.
• Monitoring of structural construction together with site team.
• Close collaboration with office (backstopping) team for review, feedback and/or approval of contractor’s execution documentation including material certificates, static calculation report, drawings, etc. 
• Supporting contractor on technical issues including harmonization, troubleshooting during the construction process and structural issues. 
• Offer technical advice on construction and design, guiding decision-making processes and ensuring optimal project outcomes.
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and documentation of any issues or changes.

Support senior engineers in managing construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation

Qualifications:

• BSc. in Civil Engineering
• Cumulative grade point of 3.25 or more
• Dexterity in MS Office Applications and use of email
• Reasonable knowledge of the use of Autodesk REVIT and Autodesk AutoCAD
• Permitted to work in Ethiopia. 
• Professional level English.
• Typing speed of minimum 25 word per minute.
• 0-2 years supervision experience. For those with no experience, proof of  apprenticeship at a construction company or site experience with consultant is required.
