WHAT WE DO

Ethiopian Capital Market Authority is established by Capital Market Proclamation No 1248/2021 as an autonomous Federal Regulatory Authority. One of the major objectives of ECMA is to ensure the existence of a capital market environment in which securities can be issued and traded in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner. ECMA, as a regulatory authority, grants licenses to any person to operate as a security exchange, derivative exchange, security depository and clearing company, capital market service provider, over-the-counter trading facility, or any other activity deemed by ECMA as a regulated activity under its jurisdiction. ECMA regulates and oversees trading in primary and secondary markets of securities, the use of electronic trading platforms that deal with securities, and gives recognition and oversees the activities of self-regulatory organizations. 

 Statement of the Purpose 

The job holder is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

1. Network Design and Implementation:
   • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions.
   • Configure and install network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
2. Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
   • Monitor network performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal operation.
   • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including firmware updates, patch management, and backups.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
3. Security Management:
   • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
   • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures.
   • Prepare and present network performance reports, metrics, and analysis to management.
5. Leadership and Collaboration:
   • Lead network projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews.
   • Collaborate with IT staff, vendors, and other departments to support business operations and projects.
   • Mentor and provide guidance to junior network administrators and IT staff.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices.
   • Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and security.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the filed with at least 2 years in network administration, 
  • Extensive experience with network design, implementation, and maintenance.
