Job Description

Company Profile:

Tapu Foods is a food processing firm established in Ethiopia. It is a trade name of Yemsrach Abera & Family General Trading, a Private Limited Company, whose vision is to provide quality packed foods, traditional Ethiopian spices, catering and restaurant services to its clients here at home and abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify training and development needs of the organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes (KPI) through regular consultations with human resources department manager and other department managers
  • Map out training plans, design and develop training programs (outsourced or in-house)
  • Conduct training needs assessment (TNA) so as to identify skill, knowledge or technology gaps that need to be addressed
  • Assess occupational effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports so as to determine the impact of trainings on employee skills and how such trainings affect KPIs
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Select and book venues of training sessions
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
  • Produce training materials for in-house courses
  • Develop employees individual learning plans
  • Review and edit successive documentations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor document usage, access, and retention to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Work with internal teams to establish standard documentation templates, formats, and styles
  • Maintain and update document data-base ensuring that all documents are appropriately archived and indexed for quick retrieval
  • Train employees on proper document handling and management processes
  • Update employees profile (bio-data) in soft and hard copy
  • Systemize employees file system
  • Undertake other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Human Resource Development (HRD)
  • Interpersonal skills that enable to work with people at all levels, motivate others and change people's attitudes when necessary
  • Written and spoken communication skills that allow to inform and advise others clearly
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas
  • Organizational and planning skills to manage time and to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Good time-keeping skills that enable him/her to effectively manage training schedules
  • Personal commitment to improve his/her own knowledge and skills
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate training)
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good command of ERP and MS Office and demonstrated understanding of statistical concepts - with the ability to analyze, synthesize, evaluate and interpret statistical data - and converting the same into informative reports
  • Proven research writing skill
  • Attention to detail and excellent editing and proofreading skills
