Job Description

  • Product Owner for CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and AMS (Asset Management System)

Overview

  • The Product Owner is responsible for driving the end-to-end development, delivery, and optimization of a customer-centric CRM and AMS. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in managing complex product roadmaps, third-party vendor collaborations, and cross-functional teams. The focus is on aligning the product development with business objectives, delivering a seamless customer experience, and ensuring continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making. 

Key Areas of Focus

  • Product Strategy & Vision
  • Translate high-level business objectives into a comprehensive product development roadmap that meets the needs of the CRM and AMS .
  • Own the product vision, define the customer experience, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customers, and third-party suppliers to gather business requirements, manage feedback, and drive optimal utilization of the CRM and AMS System.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales Team, and Product Owners to ensure the product supports the broader value chain.

Product Development & Execution

  • Manage the product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Oversee the development sprints, maintain a clear and functional sprint backlog, and ensure proper execution of sprint tasks.
  • Set long, medium, and short-term goals for the development team, assisting them in meeting deadlines.

Customer-centric Approach

  • Ensure the platform is customer-focused by incorporating insights from data teams to drive product improvements and better customer experiences.
  • Develop clear product requirements and manage the business case to support product innovations and enhancements.

Third-party Supplier & Vendor Management:

  • Partner with third-party vendors to ensure successful product activations, customer engagement, and implementation into new sales regions.
  • Manage day-to-day functions of third-party supplier interactions and ensure alignment with the product roadmap.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage insights from data teams to drive continuous improvement in the CRM and AMS platform and associated business processes.
  • Utilize analytics to prioritize product features, identify key value propositions, and ensure the product meets customer and business needs.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on product development progress.
  • Draft strategic updates and provide clear communication to leadership teams regarding product milestones, challenges, and successes.

Team Leadership & Process Optimization

  • Lead and mentor the team, ensuring productive team dynamics and efficient operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, driving continuous improvement in line with company policies and procedures.

REPORTS TO: National Route to Market Manager                  

LOCATION:    Head Office                       

DIRECT REPORTS:       2                           

EXPECTED TRAVEL:  30%   

Experience & Skills Required:

  • BA in Marketing and relating fields from recognized University
  • Minimum of 2-4+ years' experience as a Product Owner, with proven success in FMCG or Beverage Industry.
  • Expertise in managing complex product integrations, with a strong focus on CRM and AMS 
  • Highly analytical approach with experience in data-driven decision-making and prioritization.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing abilities across both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in managing third-party suppliers and stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and driving solution adoption.
  • Previous experience in FMCG is beneficial but not mandatory.
