About Us: The Refugees and Returnees Affairs Department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church is a dedicated organization committed to supporting both refugee and host communities in Addis Ababa and in different refugees and IDP settlements in Ethiopia. One of the interventions the organization is doing is Early Childhood Development. Our mission in this intervention is to provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development.

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced nanny to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and local host communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and loving care to children.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children’s progress and needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a multicultural setting.
• Basic understanding of child development and early childhood education.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Basic first aid certification is a plus.
• Fluency in Amharic and/or other local languages is preferred.
