About Us: 

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church, Development and Inter Church Aid Commission (EOTC-DICAC) is dedicated to improving the lives of both refugee and host communities through various humanitarian and development initiatives. Our interventions in different locations in Ethiopia include education, health, vocational skill training, GBV prevention and response, and child protection. Currently we are implementing Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Addis Ababa. Our Early Childhood Development (ECD) Project focuses on providing comprehensive health and developmental support to young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for children.
  • Administer vaccinations and other necessary medical treatments.
  • Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and hygiene practices.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other project staff to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
  • Participate in community outreach and health education activities

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid nursing license in Ethiopia.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric or community health nursing.
  • Strong understanding of child health and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is an asset.
