Background
The Alliance of RCBDIA and Inter Aide (ARIA) engaged in agriculture development interventions in the region for several years. The efficacy and scalability of the model to apply SWC combined with fodder have been demonstrated in earlier projects. Based on this practical experience, the PROCEED initiative project was developed and a five years project agreement was signed with the regional government to strengthen the capacity of the agriculture sector bureau structures to institutionalize the initiative and to improve the agricultural extension approach through creating strong bondages with field-level community actors. Thereby ensure to realize accelerated durable SWC integrated with fodder to restore, manage, and protect their ecosystems while improving the food security, socio-economic situation, and resilience of farming families.
In the process of institutionalization Zone technical support or zone coach is responsible to ensures all stakeholders at zone, woreda and kebele level properly engaged, and adopted the project best practices. He/she is responsible capacitating the zonal task force, woreda focal and Inter Aide woreda technical support team on project implementation strategies, timeline based planning, adoption of project introduced key elements that are decisive for project success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As IAF team member, the Zone Technical Support respects internal rules of the organization, including its code of conduct. She/he represents IAF and as such should have a positive and decent behavior toward all actors she/he might encounter during her/his duties (All IAF staff, Communities, Government officialsā¦).
As a minimum, she/he should respect IAF working hours: 2h30 to 6h30 & 7h30 to 11h30 (Ethiopian time), from Monday to Friday.
The Zone Technical Support is expected to take her/his responsibilities fully and to report any difficulty or need to her/his superior. She/he might be required to fulfil other tasks given by her/his superior even if not mentioned in the present job description.

Qualification
BSc degree or above in agriculture extension, Agronomy, Natural resource management or related field
At least eight years relevant work experience, in a senior position.
Previous experience in INGO sector is a plus
Very high interpersonal communication skill
Creative, flexible and open minded
Language: Excellent written and spoken command of English, Amharic and knowledge of local language (Hadiysa) will be plus.
Well organized
Commitment to contribute to improve the public agricultural extension service delivery thereby improve the livelihood of the community.
Willing to work fulltime with the government team in coaching and supervising
