Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of the General Accounts Senior Officer position is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the General Accounting activities of BMFI. S/he ensures the proper maintenance of the accounting records, timely closing of books and submission of Financial Statements, and auditing of accounts by external auditors..

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/TRAINING

B.A. degree in Accounting or equivalent education and work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience preferably in Microfinance or bank.

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

Good planning, organizational, analytical and decision making skills;
Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner;
Good skills in the use of computers;
Good communication and presentation skills.
