French-speaking Trainer

Headlight Consulting Services is looking to hire an experienced French-speaking Trainer for a USAID activity in Djibouti.

Summary of Position

The trainer will deliver a three-day training on Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA), USAID’s model for organizational learning, in Djibouti in August. This is a short-term temporary assistance role paid at a daily rate. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Deliver an interactive CLA training in French for USAID staff and partner organization staff
• Follow facilitation plans and suggest adaptations based on what goes well/does not go well
• Coordinate with other facilitators
• Assist with post-event feedback collection

• Document questions and follow-up actions in English\

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience facilitating large-scale trainings and/or learning events
• High-level client engagement skills and experience 
• Comfort with change and ability to adapt
• Ability to work well as a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent oral/written communication skills in English, Amharic, and French

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with USAID and/or similar organizations
• Technical knowledge in CLA, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; Adult Learning; Public Health; WASH; Humanitarian Assistance; Economic Growth and Resilience; Education and Youth; Gender; and/or Democracy, Rights, and Governance
