Job summary

The market research and insights manager is responsible for providing the marketing and sales departments with insights on the beer market and its consumers. He/she proactively designs and conducts market research of any type, analyses the data and communicates findings effectively. Additionally, he/she is responsible for the setting up of consumer, shareholder and other relevant profile databases.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.    Designs and delivers a research projects across broad range of business interest areas.
2.    Carry out desk-based research and literature reviews to help inform ongoing and/or upcoming research projects.
3.    Prepares proposal and management of frequent full trade census (EDS – Every Dealer Survey) in designated regions.
4.    Analysis of all data from surveys and make presentation of the major findings to the Commercial Leadership Team.
5.    Translates data into insight and communicate effectively in order to inform the sales and marketing departments.
6.    Always stay aware of the current consumer and industry behavior, trends, attitudes, preferences, and needs.
7.    Provides and assists the sales manager with market insights mainly related to customers and consumers from the trade.
8.    Responsible for actively monitoring consumer trends and demands in the beer industry
9.    Frequently gathers consumer feedback on brand(s) and product(s) that the company markets in tandem with similar feedback on competitors’ brands.
10.    Deploys both qualitative and quantitative methods to quickly research the market and make basic recommendations to marketing and sales sections.
11.    Actively seek and experiment new methods for conducting consumer research to gain insights in smart and effective ways.
12.    Performs any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Academic requirement: 

  • MA/MSC/BA/BSC in Marketing Management or related fields of study

Work experience: 

  • 6/8yrs of experience in brand management in Beverage Industries.
