I Job Summary
The female-only internship program is a one-year program with the primary objectives of empowering young female graduates and impacting the organization's gender parity that provides emerging female talents an opportunity to apply knowledge and enhance skills through mentoring and coaching, expanding their professional network, working on value-added projects, gaining hands-on experience, and getting acquainted with the oriental difference.
The MIS intern is required to assist in the implementation of uplift her project activities. Specifically, she is expected to support the M&E officer and the field technical teams to effectively implement the project implementation. UPLIFT HER is a seven-year project that will be implemented in the West and East Hararghe zones of Oromia and Afar regions of Ethiopia. The Project aims to improve the provision of comprehensive and inclusive gender and adolescent responsive primary SRHN services.
II RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Support field team on some of the routine data collection.
Support in the development of maps using GIS applications.
Supporting staff capacity efforts and assisting with staff training as needed.
Prepare and submit reports//minutes of meetings, trainings, supervisions, monitoring visits and workshops.
Compile, clean and summarize data collected.
Conduct simple data analysis with the support of M&E officer.
Support in following up the submission of reports from the field.
Assist and monitor the overall implementation of project activities based on their established indicators, including collating, and analyzing data and information for reporting.
Assist in the learning brief, technical brief, and project best practices preparation.
Support preparation and review of learning and technical briefs.
Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the direct supervisor and the project team.

Demonstrated commitment to principles of Gender Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and PSEAH (safeguarding), as evidenced in previous positions / programming.

IV Job Requirements
A) EDUCATION
Required: BA/BSC in Management Information System (MIS), Information Technology (IT), Data Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, Statistics, Mathematics, and related field
B) WORK EXPERIENCE:
Zero (0) Year (Ability to work in a stressful situation can do multi-task, excellent analytical/statistical skills, very good writing skills, team player, and problem solver
C) TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required:
Good written and verbal language skills in English
Good computer proficiency (i.e., Ms. Word, Excel, Access, ArcGIS)
Research and data management skills
Different data management software and their application
Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups
Team player, flexible and ability to work under a multi-cultural working setting
Quick learning ability, communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines
D) COMPETENCIES

E) LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED
This internship position is located in Dire Dawa with limited travel to project intervention woredas
