Job Summary 

Compliance Officer is responsible for participating in the Bank's efforts to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism. In addition, the role holder is responsible for checking/conducting the implementation of AML and CFT, other directives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating associated risks.

Academic & Professional Qualification 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Economics, Information Technology, Law, Accounting, Finance, or Banking 
•  Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related business field from a recognized institution is an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum of four (4) years relevant experience

Required Technical Competency 

• Good understanding of institute of internal auditors (IIA) standards and ability to comply           
• Good understanding of governance, risk and control framework               
• Understands the basic mechanisms of general financial products and services.
• Good knowledge of Bank’s accounting and procedures.
• Ability to respond to basic client enquiries and instructions and the capability of advising and resolving most issues and requests.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office application and good command of the core banking system
