Job Purpose
The Supply Chain officer is responsible for managing logistics and product sourcing for projects in accordance with bid response requirements. This role involves working closely with the Solution Team, Service Delivery Team, and Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of products and services to meet project objectives.
General Duties
The Supply Chain officer collaborates with internal teams and stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify sourcing needs, and coordinate logistics for project delivery. This includes managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supply chain processes to support project execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate logistics for the procurement and delivery of products and services in support of project requirements.
Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
Monitor shipment schedules and track inventory levels to ensure availability of materials for project activities.
Identify sourcing needs for projects based on bid response requirements and project specifications.
Source products and services from vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers in accordance with project timelines and budget constraints.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery of products and services.
Evaluate vendor capabilities, capacity, and performance to inform sourcing decisions.
Resolve vendor disputes and issues in collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
Work closely with the Solution Team, Service Delivery Team, and Project Managers to understand project requirements and sourcing needs.
Identify and assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
Monitor and manage supply chain risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize impact on project delivery.
Implement contingency plans as needed to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

Skills and Qualifications
Proven working experience in sales and business development, or a relevant role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Familiar with the Ethiopian single window, eGP ( electronic government procurement portal), EPA portal and related portals
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, practices, and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in supply chain management software tools.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Certification in supply chain management is preferred.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
