LEARN Logistics by Kühne Foundation is a German registered charity established to support universities in African countries in the sustainable development and expansion of teaching and research capacities in logistics and supply chain management. LEARN Logistics pursues the approach of cross-functional logistics systems and promotes other sectors, such as health and agriculture, in addition to the commercial market.
LEARN works in regions where public or private funding and local resources are insufficient to deliver the required LSCM education and to meet international quality standards. Together with local universities, the program offers training opportunities tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the countries. The development of such a high-quality education system is achieved through multilateral partnerships between internationally leading higher education institutions in high-income countries and selected universities in low-income countries in East and partly West Africa.
Job summary
The Administration and Finance position holder reports to the Ethiopia Executive Country Manager and will work closely with the HQ Finance Manager assigned to the Ethiopia Office. He/she is a key member of the country management team and will be in charge of implementing financial policies, strategies, and plans and leading the finance & administration team. Build a motivated and productive work team capable of executing the organization's strategic plan; develop proper monitoring and follow-up systems to ensure financial management and administrative tasks of the Foundation; provide advice and support to the executive country manager and functional units whenever needed. The manager is responsible for ensuring that the finance and HR administration functions are implemented efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with the Foundation's policy and regulations of the country.

Salary Level: Negotiable
Terms of employment: contract with possible extensionbased on performance
Place of work: Learn logistics from the Kühne Foundation Ethiopia Office in Addis Ababa, with possible travel to other regions.
Required skills and qualifications:
Master’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Commerce
A minimum of Ten years of work experience in Financial and HR Management or related work at INGOs
Exceptional management skills and experience, particularly concerning HR, budgeting, forecasting, and managing cost centers
Familiarity with managing various Donors -funded programs
Ability to handle multiple tasks and to set priorities, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Strategic thinking, judgment, and organizational planning/prioritizing; ability to solve problems
English and Amharic proficiency is essential (both oral and written skills)
